It had to happen.... In the spirit of being totally forthright, we delivered a winch with some problems. Bud Wruck was the unlucky recipient and he received a WW with a bad powder coating, a mis-alignment issue and a missing part. Additionally, we didn't wire his electric start before the unit shipped. Bud is a great sport and is super handy(thank goodness) and has resolved the problems. Also, he experienced one thing that I had suspected but hadn't confirmed(the centrifigual clutch can slip when doing stationary tows with heavy pilots in wind). Live and learn. Bud is now towing with his WW and experiencing success. We reimburse him for his time and any materials that he has to purchase and we are firmly committed to making sure that he ends up getting(and feeling he is getting) a good deal.
We are off to Las Vegas with the next unit(some improvements) and will do our best to find any and all problems by using it for a few consecutive days. We are moving our manufacturing to a really nice fab shop here shortly and the product should reflect this change. Nik is in California at the moment and will shift his focus from manufacturing the current Wonder Winches to developing lighter, smaller, better etc. new winches.
